Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what PromptVideo collects, why, and what you can do about it.

1. What we collect

• Account info: your email address (for magic-link sign-in).
• Content you create: prompts, generated code, voiceover scripts, uploaded images. Stored in Supabase Postgres + Storage in the United States.
• Generated audio: voiceover audio synthesized by Cartesia, cached server-side to avoid re-synth costs. Audio bytes are content-addressed by hash.
• Billing info: handled by Polar (our merchant of record). We see plan + customer ID + invoice metadata — we never see your card details.
• Server logs: standard request logs (URL, timestamp, status, anonymous IP) for security + debugging. Retained 30 days.

2. Why we collect it

To deliver the service: sign you in, generate your videos, charge you, keep the system running, prevent abuse. We don't sell your data. We don't train models on your content.

3. Third parties we share with

• Supabase — auth + database + storage.
• OpenAI — your prompts are sent to OpenAI for code generation. OpenAI's API does not train on API inputs by default.
• Cartesia — your voiceover scripts are sent to Cartesia for synthesis.
• Polar — billing + invoices.
• Vercel — hosting + edge logs.
• AWS Lambda — video rendering (Remotion).

4. Cookies + storage

We use cookies and sessionStorage for sign-in state and to carry draft state between the landing page and the app. No third-party analytics or ad cookies today.

5. Your rights

You can:

• Sign out from your Account page.
• Request your data via hello@getpromptvideo.com.
• Delete your account — same email, or just reply to any of our messages.

Deletion removes your account row + projects + assets. Audio cache may retain content-addressed audio bytes (no link back to you).

6. Data location

Primary data lives in the United States (Supabase project region: West US). EU and UK users: by signing up, you consent to your data being processed in the US.

7. Children

PromptVideo is not directed at children under 13. Don't create accounts for minors.
