Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PromptVideo (the "Service"), operated by the PromptVideo team. By signing up or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

PromptVideo lets you describe a video idea in plain English and generates a personalized motion-graphics video. You retain ownership of the content you create. We retain ownership of the underlying platform.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for the activity on your account. Keep your sign-in details safe. We use magic-link email sign-in via Supabase Auth — no password to lose, but anyone with access to your email can sign in.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use PromptVideo to create content that's illegal, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful, or that infringes on someone else's rights. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Payments

Subscriptions and credits are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar handles billing, taxes, and refunds. You can cancel any time from the customer portal linked in your Account page. Refund requests go to Polar; our internal credit ledger reflects whatever Polar processes.

5. Credits

Subscription credits refresh monthly. Unused credits do not roll over. Credits are non-transferable. Failed renders auto-refund 1 credit.

6. Content and licensing

You grant us a limited license to store, render, and serve the content you create through the Service so we can actually deliver it back to you. We don't claim ownership of your videos, scripts, or uploaded images. We don't use your content to train models.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, we delete personal data per our Privacy Policy.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running but can't guarantee uninterrupted service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email to your account address.
